<p>This is one of the variations, and an extremely nice example of a Japanese Army NCO Shin-Gunto Sword differentiated by the black steel guard (tsuba). It is mounted with a cast aluminum hilt painted to resemble the Officer's pattern which still wears all of its original paint. The machine made blade measures 26 1/2 inches in length and remains near perfect condition wearing a <strong>MATCHING NUMBER</strong> to the scabbard.
