A pair of Museum quality Royal Vienna portrait plates, each having a red beehive mark. Please use the enlarge feature. I am confident you will greatly impressed by the extraordinary detail and finesse of each hand painted subject. Both plates have a meticulously decorated and matching gold gilt on deep cobalt blue rim with jeweled accoutrements. The hand painted portraits of the old man and woman, often attributed as the Parents of Rembrandt van Rijn "Rembrandt" the famed Old Master artist, are meticulously painted and signed beneath by the artist Wagner. You will find no other portrait plates with such detailed lifelike artistry. Each plate is 9 1/4" and in virtually pristine condition. No chips, cracks, repairs or wear. Each has been meticulously and painstakingly cared for. The plate stand do not accompany the plates. These will make a statement wherever you choose to display them, home or office, and guaranteed to be a topic of conversation.
