Up for auction is GORGEOUS 2 PC SEVRES BLUE-GROUND CABINET PLATES.
A beautiful porcelain Chateau des Tuileries cabinet plate hand painted with two cherubs holding torches on either side of the royal insignia of King Louis Phillipe of France. Beautifully decorated in the Sevres style, the plate has gold
embellishment including a wreath of oak leaves around the rim and has a gorgeous turquoise blue background
(more teal color in real life than in the p...hotos). The back is stamped with blue Louis Philippe blue hallmark.
The plate is 9 1/2" diameter. Condition is overall good with some wear of the gilt.
