Commodore 64 Computer Cleaned, Repaired, And For Over 13 Hours

Tested for over 13 hours with the Diagnostic Rev. 586220 and full diagnostic harness, without any errors. The photo says 01:47 because the clock flips after 12 hours. If you look at the counter it was up to 845 iterations without any errors. This Commodore 64 has been cleaned, repaired, and tested. The case and keyboard are in very good to excellent condition. There are no broken hinges, tabs, or screw mounts (see photo), but there is a rough patch on the bottom where it looks lik...e someone had scratched there name into the case and someone else subsequently sanded it off (see photos). The serial number is P00297490. It has motherboard assembly number 250425 and has all the original MOS chips including an original SID. This board has all the major (big) chips socketed for easy future repairs or modding. All the original shielding is in place and in good shape. The RF/Heat Sink shield was cleaned and new heat sink compound applied. The computer was completely disassembled and cleaned inside and out. Any bad chips and components have been replaced. The auction does not include the diagnostic I only included the screen shot of it to show that I’ve used the full Diagnostic Rev. 586220 with harness to test the computer. The auction is for the Commodore 64 computer only, but I am including a basic composite (RCA) cable and a repaired power supply for free as a courtesy. Since the transformer and AC rails in the original PSU almost never fail, I open the PSU and bypass the failing DC voltage regulator with a new 5v buck converter connected to the diode bridge from the transformer. The buck converter is much more efficient and cooler than the old linear voltage regulator. This buck converter is rated up to 3amp max for short bursts and  is stable at 1.5amp which matches the original output rating. This is the exact power supply I used during the 13+ hour testing with no issues. I haven't had any problems with these,  but you use the power supply at your own risk without any guarantee. It’s probably safer than most of the original power supplies at this point, but you can also find many quality professionally made new power supplies for sale online. The AV cable is a very basic composite cable and just over 4' long. The test images above where using a different S-Video cable. This commodore has the 8-pin S-video capable output. I've also jumped the L1 inductor in the RF modulator to decrease color bleed on the video output. If you want a nicer higher quality output S-Video cable they can be purchased online.
