For your biddingpleasure today and possible purchase if you are the high bidder a very nicepristine bisque figurine with a separate marble base depicting a childclutching a purse and gazing into the distance in deep thought. Her beautifulblue hat features a dangling tassel which is not cloth but part of thefigurine; it is bisque and the detail, as it is on her sleeves and sash, isfantastic! And real looking! All of thedetail like so many of this period is incredible. Please obser...ve the photos asmy description really can never illustrate as well as, I hope, the photos do. I examine every piecewith a black light and she is in excellent condition top to bottom with nodings or chips or repairs or touch ups. The marble base does have a small chipon one corner and a few scratches on the top. None of these are visible onceshe is placed on it for display. I find no Trademark. I am not sure this pieceactually came with the base as it is flat on the back side and could easily bemounted against a wall if the base were not used. But it came to me with thebase so it goes with the piece. New owner can decide whether or not it makessense and continues to use it or not.This unique piece of artis consigned from a major southern California collector who has given it asmoke free environmentally controlled home for over forty years and is beingsold with no reserve. As the photos illustrate it is literally excellent.She stands 17 inches talland the marble base is 5 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches.
