4 Sevres Porcelain 7 1/4 " Portrait Plates Depicting " Star " Women

Original Description:
Presented for your consideration is a set of 4 lovely French portrait plates 7 1/4" in diameter. They are part of a set which features "stars, " and these are Mercury, The morning star, the evening star and the spirit star. The lovely ladies are in the clouds and each is dressed differently. The perimeter of the plates have hand painted scrolling leaves in a teal blue with much gilding. The plates are not marked with a company mark, but I believe it is Sevres. The scalloped shape is ...one often found of Sevres and the quality of the porcelain and painting are excellent. The pieces do have stamped numbers in the porcelain--859/51, for example. The plates are in fine condition with no chips or cracks and no gold or paint loss. 4 Beautiful Sevres Porcelain 7 1/4" Portrait Plates Depicting "Star" Women
