A rare beautiful antique 18th century Caughley Salopian porcelain underglaze-blue transfer-printed 'Pagoda' pattern saucer dish c1785 #4. This soft paste porcelain saucer was made by Caughley, circa 1785. Marked with the Caughley underglaze blue 'S' mark to base..It is decorated with a transfer print of the pagoda pattern and enriched with gilding. Minor glaze pooling to base and pegging by the inner edge of foot rim.It stands 1 1/3" (3.3 cm) high and measures a tad over 5" (12.8 ...cm) in diam.Very good condition with no cracks or restoration, there is just a small shallow overgilded chip to rim at 9 o'clock and minor wear to the gilding to the edge.
