You could see these earrings as a commentary of how women were looked at in the past (or even now by some). Or as part of the Surrealism Movement - an influence that runs through all of this line of jewelry I made in the 80's and 90's. They are dramatic as well as fun with a lot of detail in the dress as well as a Lavender Amethyst bead that sit on the shoulders.
Sterling silver with Amethyst Beads handmade in my studio.1 /12" tall x1" wide x 5/8" deep. Bead is 3/8"... diameter and riveted onto the body.
Grid photo has1/4" squares
Omega clip backs with the post means these earrings are more comfortable to wear than others that have this much silver in them. To wear them, you put them on with the post, and flip the Omega over instead of using a ear nut.
