Reference Number: Avaluer:16442767Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
Original Description:
This antique 18th century Revolutionary War era folding shaving razor with an iron blade and wooden grip handle is in good condition. The blade is securely attached to the wooden handle and it opens and close as intended. When fully opened, the razor is 6 3/4" long. The blade is 1" at the widest part and is hand wrought iron.   The cutting edge is still pretty sharp!  The blade locks into the closed position, so that it does not want to open on its own.  It also loc...ks firmly into the open position, so that it does not want to fall closed when in use.  There is general oxidation to the metal, along with dents, marks and overall wear, as shown.  Very uncomplicated and simplistically engineered folding razor from the late 1700's. Please review all of the photographs for additional condition reporting.Thank you for looking.
