A rare original and historic land sale document dated October 19, 1770, for property that was part of the Philip Livingston land grant near Albany, New York, between Peter DuBois and Johannes Gansevoort, both members of original pioneer families in the Mohawk Valley of New York, and signed by PETER DuBOIS [1707-1781]......Size 10 1/2" x 15", hand made water marked rag paper, folds, witness signatures of Pierre DePeyster and Edward Fleming, and recorded by Christopher Yates, on reverse,... aged, poor use of archival tape to make repairs, overall good collectible condition for such a rare survivor.....PIERRE DePEYSTER 1707-1785] was the father of famous British General Arent DePeyster who began his career with the British Army during the French and Indian War.....CHRISTOPHER YATES [1737-1785] fought in the French and Indian War and was Colonel of the 2nd New York regiment of the Continental Army.
