An original Revolutionary War dated manuscript deposition regarding purchase and delivery of "cattle to supply the Albany market", dated New York, March 15, 1781 and signed by PETER W. YATES [1747-1826], an Albany lawyer, politician and statesman. He was Lieut. Colonel of the 2nd New York Regiment of the Continental Army 1775-1779, and Colonel of the Albany County Militia [1780], and was involved in military action in the Lake George and Lake Champlain region.
