Original Description:
Revolutionary War Cannon Balls From Colson’s Supply Depot.. Condition is Used. This is an estate find from a Revolutionary and Civil War collector. This is a nice display piece featuring two 3 pound Revolutionary War cannon balls. A small plaque on the display says they were from Colson’s Supply Depot in North Carolina. Though internet research, I found that the Revolutionary Post was constructed in 1781. It secured supplies for Gen. Nathanael Greene. The Depot was located in Montgo...mery County. The cannon balls approximately 3 pounds and 3 oz each. The cannon balls have minor pitting that could be expected from being buried in the ground for 200 years. They have been cleaned and coated to protect them. This is a nice historical item. Please see the photos. They are part of the description. Buyer pays postage.
