A rare original Revolutionary War era printed and manuscript completed probate approval document for the estate of David Pierson, dated December 16, 1801, with a deeply embossed State paper seal attached, and signed by JOSEPH BLOOMFIELD, Governor of New Jersey. Attached is a two page copy of the last will and testament, attested to and signed by JOHN BEATTY, Register... ..JOHN BEATTY [1749-1826] was a New Jersey Physician who studied under Benjamin Rush, an officer in the Continental A...rmy, and Commissary of Prisoners. He later was a delegate to the Continental Congress, and then a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. He also served as New Jersey Secretary of State.....JOSEPH BLOOMFIELD [1753-1823], a New Jersey lawyer, was an officer in the Continental Army and judge advocate of the Northern Army, and later put down the Whiskey Rebellion in1794.
