A rare and historic manuscript list of Virginia military land warrants for property in the region of Kentucky, purchased from various Revolutionary War veterans, and owned by JAMES TAYLOR JR. [1769-1848], dated 1807-1808.....James Taylor Jr. was born in Virginia, and came at an early age in 1792 to develop land owned by his father in the newly settled state of Kentucky. He eventually became one of the wealthiest early settlers, and was founder of the city of Newport as well as a land s...peculator.
