An original Revolutionary War financial accounting dated February 7, 1778, from Michael Farley, Treasurer of the Town of Ipswich, Massachusetts, to the Selectmen of the Town, setting forth the amount of money he has spent to raise soldiers for the various Ipswich military companies serving in the Continental Army. It was the duty of each Town to provide an allotment of men for service, as well as necessary clothing, equipment and supplies for use by the Army.
